Psychiatric evaluation
Initial consultation for children and adolescents takes place over three appointments; for adults it usually takes place over two appointments.
Parent education
A class covering autism, autism with anxiety, mood and behavior symptoms, and treatments. Classes meet Tuesdays 4-5pm for 6 weeks.
Psychotherapy
Addresses mood, anxiety, and or behavior symptoms. The practice is not providing applied behavioral analysis (ABA) or other early intervention therapies at this time.
Medication management
Medication alone or with psychotherapy to address mood, anxiety, and or behavior symptoms, with a detailed explanation of risks and benefits.
Social skills training
Classes for children and adolescents interested in developing and honing their social skills.
Founder
Rodney Parker-Yarnal, M.D.
Dr. Parker-Yarnal has an affinity for people on the autism spectrum and their families. He completed medical school, psychiatry residency, and a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship with focused training in autism. He worked as an attending physician at an inpatient psychiatric facility prior to moving to Miami in 2014.
