About
The practice was founded in 1961 by Dr. John S. McRoberts and Dr. Michael L. Steiner and was first called North Palm Beach Children's Clinic. It is described as the first pediatric practice in northern Palm Beach County, and all of its physicians are board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
The practice states that its physicians and nurse practitioners believe exceptional care depends on an ongoing relationship between doctor and patient, and it aims to be lifelong partners in a child's health.
- Ongoing family relationship
- Parent education
- Personalized autism care plans
Concerns they commonly address
Autism
Autism is described as a spectrum, and the pediatricians provide screenings and support that guide families toward timely assessment and intervention.
ADHD
The pediatric team works with families to identify ADHD traits early and provide strategies that support learning, behavior, and overall well-being.
Services
Well-Child Care Exams
Well-child exams are recommended regularly, beginning in infancy, to observe growth and development, counsel parents, detect problems through screening and provide immunizations.
Immunizations
Immunizations are a series of shots given to children at different ages to help protect them from serious and potentially fatal childhood diseases.
Developmental Screening
Pediatricians provide screenings for early indicators of developmental conditions such as autism.
ADHD evaluation and management
When a diagnosis is made, the team develops a management plan that may include behavioral therapy, parent coaching, school accommodations and, when appropriate, medication.
